C

elestial Micronation is a small, artificial volcanic island that was once where the orphanage to relocate star children all around South Korea were built. It is situated on the west of Incheon in the Yellow Sea.

It was said to be built with the abilities of hundreds of star children.

In the present days, the orphanage became a mansion residence for star children all around the globe with no home, or those who decided by their own will to live away from their families. Although, the mansion can only house 36 star children at most.

There are several access that connect Celestial Micronation to the outside world - a bridge that connects to Incheon in the main island of South Korea, bullet train railway station over the ocean to Incheon International airport and Seoul station, and ferry to Incheon Harbour.

T

he Micronation is symbolised with a star-like shape that, if disassembled becomes alchemy symbols of four major elements: Fire, earth, air, and water.

 Timeline: Star Children

 1810

The story of star children started in the beginning of the 1800's when a crying phoenix let its tears fall upon an injured man's wound during his hunt for food for the first time in a forest faraway from the heart of South Korea. It was captured, sold and bought by curious western scientists who lived in the country at the time and were interested in studying the creature further.

 1845

Research on the creature took almost forever due to lack of knowledge and technology at the time; Until in the middle of 1800's, it was discovered that the heart of the phoenix was infested with four different precious gemstones: Ruby (granting the ability to rebirth after it had deceased into ashes), sapphire (granting the ability to heal wounds and injuries with its tears), emerald (granting the ability of great endurance to fly against the storms), and diamond (granting the ability to fly faster than the wind). The four gemstones were once parts of falling stars that reached earth in forms of four different tiny meteorites. They were extracted and planted on four locals' wrists who volunteered themselves as subjects of experiments, resulting the birth of the very first ever generation of children of the stars.

At one point, the gemstones' energy that flew along with their blood altered their genetic orders and their abilities became heritable. Thus, more stat children were born; Providing great source of power in time of crises. The country worked with the responsible scientists to make an orphanage specialised to keep star children. They built an artificial island located on the west of present Incheon in the Yellow Sea, known as Celestial Micronation. Most of the children were either orphans, or separated from their families who were trained to backup the country's military sources. The reason why they kept them ever since they were kids was to make sure they would be ready once they became adults to control their abilities very well and were presentable as soldiers. Unfortunately, a lot of children who were involved died at a young age. Some were unable to control their abilities; And some experienced deteriorating mental and physical health.

 1845

This practice was soon banned by the government at the end of 1800s. The responsible scientists were found dead due to suicide as people were marching to their base in the Micronation in total anger, saving the starving and suffering star children and burnt down the orphanage. Some of them were said to have travelled all around the globe after the ban, which resulted in their kind to not only be found in South Korea. It was beginning to be easy to find star children who weren't born Korean; Ethnically and nationality wise.

2001

Unfortunately, the greed for power did not stop there. News about the orphanage being rebuilt and active again for illegal activities resurfaced; This time not only kidnapping star children from South Korea for resources, but all around the globe - syncing with cases of several families (that had star lineages) being massacred without any clear motives. The orphanage was once again shut down, but a Korean shareholder of the Kirijo Group from Japan was determined to change the public's perception about the former orphanage.

2010

In 2010, the orphange was renovated; Becoming a proper dormitory specialised to shelter star children from all around the globe whom, on their own decision, /wanted/ to be separated from their families or were scouted by staffs and former staffs to bind themselves into a contract with the Kirijo group. At first, the dorms were divided into four different classes: A for fire signs, B for water signs, C for earth signs, and D for air signs. However, public interest has flunctuated due to supernatural occurrences in the Micronation that has made many uncomfortable, leading them to terminate their contracts and left the dormitory. In 2015, the class system was abolished and a major renovation was done to the accommodation. 2018 onwards, it remains open for 36 star children at most who live under the same roof.

 Celestial Headquarters

Founded as early as mid to end of 1800s as an orphanage. It is the nerve centre or residence designated for star children who are bound by a contract with Kirijo group. Half of its building is located in the woods, while the other half is at the beach with a dock or pier at its back door like a "tail".

C

elestial Headquarters actually makes up of several buildings in a roundabout complex, but the term is now associated with only the dormitory itself.

Apart from 36 single rooms, it also provides a longue on the ground floor, communal kitchen and laundromat on every level, indoor pool on the 2nd floor, and a rooftop garden.

Some star children moved in as early as back in 2010 when it still had class system. Some want to live independently, some have nowhere to go, some have lost their families - and other several reasons; thus, you'll meet star children of all age, wandering in their safe haven where they'll also learn to use their abilities for a purpose.

This does not equal isolation from the outside world, however. As the Headquarters' mainly functions to give star children proper shelters, they still live like any other human beings do. The adults have jobs, the teenagers go to school, and have friends who are not their kind outside of the headquarters.
